Day 51: Wembley Ware Dhu Fish Vase
Photo Caption: Day 51: Today’s piece is by Wembley Ware out of Subiaco, Perth, Western Australia. For a place so far away from Western Australia you sure do find a few Wembley Ware pieces. A great find from the weekend is this Dhu Fish vase by Wembley Ware. There are 2 versions of this vase a large and small size. This is the small size. Many years ago before i knew i collected Australian pottery i had the large version of this vase sitting on top of a very large speaker in my bedroom while listening to Lou Reeds album Transformer. Needleess to say the experience did not end well for the fish and to this day I’m still waiting to acquire another large fish vase.
